OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WON’T TURN ON

When an electric stove doesn’t turn on, first be sure the stove is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the stove is plugged in and the pilot light is on, then a different part of the oven will have to be replaced. The cause of the issue could be the infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WON’T HEAT

A stove or burner that does not produce heat won’t do much. An oven does not heat if there’s a broken bake element or oven sensor. Your burner does not fire up if an element breaks or when the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We know how to troubleshoot and repair these common problems in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

It is reasonable to assume the control panel on a stove is broken if the program or timer settings are not working. In this case, we know how to fix control boards on LG, Sears, GE, KitchenAid, Kenmore and several other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You always should have a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to a broken thermostat or sensor. Our repairmen know how to diagnose the location of the issue and fix it. But be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is times where an igniter will glow but it won’t light. The cause is sometimes from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or sensor. We will determine if we can repair these appliance parts or if we will have to replace the part.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning models of ovens can have door issues often. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door latch, thermostat and seal to identify why the door does not open up and then we complete the necessary repair so we can correct the issue.
